Improvement of quality of life and protection of our environment are primary goals of the development concept of the city of Herrieden. Regulation of individual vehicle traffic is an important component to reach these goals.

We don't want to ban you, dear driver, from downtown. Now as then, you are to have the opportunity to undertake your shopping, doctor visits and other errants in the old town via your vehicle. Further, guests in our town should have the option of accessing sleeping quarters and locales. To this end, there is free paring available in the city center.

However, for many errants it is not absolutely required to drive directly into downtown. Many points in our town are easily accessible by foot from free long-term parking spaces at the border of the city center.
